Contract Packing for WestRock and Inver House

WestRock is a packaging production company, based in East Kilbride and with global customers and logistics operations across the world. They make millions of packages and boxes per year across a variety of industries, including cartons and tubes for the drinks industry. When a customer of WestRock required packaging pre-assembly, storage, and on-demand delivery within Scotland for their premium alcohol range, WestRock contracted RESCU Solutions to help fulfil this substantial order.

  • Packaging Pre-Assembly, Storage & On-Demand Delivery in Scotland

    Having worked with WestRock for over a year, delivering contract packing and packaging pre-assembly, the RESCU team were confident that our shared work ethic and customer-centric approach would result in a high quality service. The customer, Inver House Distillers, who produced a ‘new expressions’ fleet of whiskies in mid 2018, had commissioned WestRock to create stunning presentation boxes for the 12, 15, 18, and 21 year old range of Old Pulteney Whisky, drawn and distilled in the Highlands of Scotland. We agreed a programme of work that saw RESCU completing the packaging pre-assembly and storing the pre-assembled packaging before delivering on demand, to meet Inver House`s production schedule.

Sustainable Scottish Packaging Partnerships with Global Reach

This project is an excellent example of how strong partnerships across Scotland’s ever-growing premium drinks industry can minimise the environmental impacts that occur when packaging is unnecessarily transported long distances between each of the production, pre-assembly, and product packing stages. Packaging pre-assembly is increasingly outsourced to increase efficiency – by working with local Scottish contract packing partners this can be achieved without compromising sustainability goals.
